What is the client's business?
The client is an advertising group that started as an independent European network with offices in most (western) European countries. Their most important asset is their creative excellence and as a result they have worked on some of the most successful campaigns in Europe.

What was the clients question?
Help us to change the culture of our network, so that we can win more European accounts. For that our prospects have to see us more as a network (through our behaviour) and we need to focus more on these accounts. By some prospects we are perceived weaker on corporate culture, European consistency, etc.

We want to set up training to help create more coherent relationships within the network.


How did we answer the brief?
Together with two of their managers we drafted a series of workshops in the different countries where the company policy on this part of their work was presented, integrated with findings of international research, discussions and presentation of tools. Our specific part in the sessions was on adapting the “new” way to their local situation, the perceived expected reactions of others. Integrating the changes they think were needed in an action plan for their local situation.

What is the result?
The series have not yet finished, but more international thinking, involvement etc. can already been spotted. Several parts of their "homework" are finished to a high degree. The planned actions are part of the appraisal program and evaluated regularly.
